With a personal need for a better safety gate, founder Marc Pichik started the Smart Retract company to produce a safety gate superior to all others offered on the marketplace. Over a decade later, the company has expanded and continues pioneering unique retractable products for business or home use. The smart products are comprised of the Retract-A-Gate, the original retractable gate for children and pet safety, and the retractable pet barrier for exterior doors known as the Bow Wow Barrier, to prevent pets from darting outside.
